South Haven, MI – US Tarp, Inc. (“US Tarp”, “UST” or the “Company”), a portfolio company of Brighton Partners, has been acquired by Shur-Co, LLC, a portfolio company of Behrman Capital. Hennepin Partners acted as US Tarp’s exclusive financial advisor and King & Spalding served as legal counsel. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. 

US Tarp is a leading manufacturer and distributor of load containment and cargo protection truck and trailer tarping systems and related aftermarket parts that address its own and competitors’ tarping systems. The Company’s products are used on commercial light-duty trailers, medium-duty trucks, heavy-duty tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off container handling equipment. US Tarp sells through a balanced channel mix of specialty OEM customers and distributors serving the construction and landscaping, agricultural, municipal, and recycling and refuse markets. 

Founded in 2003, US Tarp has become a leading brand in its sector. The company expanded its footprint and offerings over two decades, boasts a strong engineering and product development team with a history of new product innovation and approaches the market through a differentiated sales and customer support model. The Company is headquartered in South Haven, Michigan, with a sales and distribution facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
